Lesson-2
How to speed up your computer simple:Tip: Turn off the XP loading screen
To speed up the process for starting a small computer, turn off the loading screen of Windows XP. This can be very simple:
- Open the MSCONFIG utility (Start Open \ Run and type msconfig)
- Select boot.ini
- Check the /noguiboot. During boot (start) the PC, you will see a black screen between the post and the welcome screen from now.
Tip: Check your hard drive with scandisk
Over time, a lot of small data problems and physical problems can develop and slow down hard disk performance. While disk defragmentation can help restore most of the returns that could be lost, there are other issues such as lost clusters, the defragmentation utility can not fix.
Because of this, it is a good idea to perform error checking utility XP occasionally. This tool scans the disk for errors and possibly groped to correct them.
- Open My Computer
- Click on the hard drive you want to scan and select Properties from the menu
- Select the Tools tab and in the Error-checking click the Check Now button ....
- Check the two options. You have to restart your computer to start the disk check complete.
The disc will be completely checked for errors on the restart, but this can be time consuming. Sharing is sexy
