Atlast Microsoft has confirmed - Windows 8.1 (A.K.A Blue) will be free
It 's official: Update Windows blue copy of Windows 8.1, which will be available for Windows 8 and Windows RT devices in the same way, and it will cost the low, low price of zip, nada, zilch .
It is interesting to note that the free upgrade to Windows 8.1 will be available through the Windows Store is not the usual method of updating Windows.
"Windows 8.1 ... continues the journey that started with Windows 8 last fall," the confirmation message Windows Blog, said this morning. "Windows 8.1 will help us deliver the next generation of tablet PC OEM partners to deliver customer experiences, both consumer and business-need and we just have to wait to go on."
What does that mean? The first leaks of Windows 8.1 gave us some glimpses into the future, while we have some strong proposals and logical assumptions (hello again, desktops!) of you.
Microsoft Windows 8.1 offers an unprecedented opportunity (for Windows) and crucial to quickly correct some of the more obvious errors in its new operating system image. Comments from company representatives seem to suggest that Microsoft is actually paying attention to customer feedback and metrics as you develop Windows 8.1 s-here hoping Microsoft does not fumble the opportunity. The same fate of the PC and Microsoft's mobile ambitions, as can be recalculated based on this critical assumption.
Will Microsoft get it right? Windows Blue leaks suggest that the company is on the right track, but we'll know for sure in advance.
Speaking at the JP Morgan Technology, Media and Telecom Conference, co-boss of Windows Tami Reller stuck a specific delivery date for developer preview. Get ready to start feeling blue in little over a month, on June 26.
Fit split screen and a home button back, here we are (hopefully). But do not expect the price of future Windows updates for being so generous. Sharing is sexy
