Firefox Tweaks

Open Firefox and type about: config in the address bar, then press Enter. Click "I'll be careful I Promise" alert button to reveal a long list of preferences. To change a preference - whether it is an integer (number) or a string (text), double-click the name of the preference and asked for the new value. If it is a boolean (true or false), double-click the entry to change from true to false or vice versa.
To add a preference (preference if the name is not already in the about: config page) right-click an empty space in the about: config window and select New followed by string, integer, or boolean depending on whether the value of the preference is text (String), a number (integer) or true / false (boolean)Tip: The quickest way to find the right preference is to write the name of the preference in the filter bar at the top of the configuration page - this automatically reduces the list to show only those that contain the text preferences writing.Change or add the following preferences to the new values. If the preference is already set to this value, and then jump to the next. If the preference does not exist, add:browser.display.show_image_placeholders: falseStops the display of the placeholders, while images are uploaded to accelerate the page. The default value is truebrowser.tabs.animate: falseDisable all the entertainment features of the card (for example, when you click 'New Tab' button (+)) to the fastest interface graphics card. The default value is truenetwork.prefetch-next: trueThis setting automatically prefetch (load) the content of the pages linked to the page you are viewing, for example to load the home page in the background, making it faster for the next hearing, if desired. To take advantage of higher speed when browsing websites using prefetch, keep this default setting is true.[Some prefetch seen as a possible security risk and off. My current thinking is that there is a big concern - if a site is bad, bad only load the current page in any case without first obtaining the other party]network.http.max-persistent connections per server: 8Increase the maximum number of persistent connections per server that can help speed up loading of multimedia rich pages. The default is 6network.http.pipelining: trueYou can send multiple requests to the server together in order to speed up the loading of web pages. This is not compatible with all servers - some servers may even behave incorrectly if they receive requests channeled. The default is FalseOptional: If you want the Google searches in the address bar to search by name and go directly to the right place (for example, 'New York Times' would go directly to the website nytimes.com) rather than perform a standard search Google, change the keyword.URL preference value as shown below below:keyword.URL: https://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q =(Note: this is for google.com - you should change the country version, for example, in the UK just replace the tip with google.com google.co.uk)Now close Firefox and reopen it to apply all changes. Sharing is sexy
