Prevent Users From Uninstalling Apps in Windows 8

By default, you can uninstall any application that you download from the Windows Store. However, it may be useful to create a user account for guests or children and then prevent users from uninstalling applications. As you can see above, clicking on a subway application uninstallation options is gone! Navigate to the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows \ Explorer

You'll have to create the Explorer key in Windows Explorer and under you will need to create a new DWORD value called NoUninstallFromStart. Let a value of 1 and then go out and sign back. Sharing is sexy
