Easily change Registered Owner name in Windows

If you've ever wondered how to change the name of the person that Windows is registered, this is a quick tip for you. Not all that useful, but it can be useful if you have a computer of another person.


  1. Open regedit.exe through the start menu search box, and then locate the following registry key (Or press Win+R and type Regedit.exe in Run Box, then press Enter) :
  2. Now you can find the keys RegisteredOrganization, RegisteredOwner and in the right pane. Change any desired value.
  3. To view the new changes, Winver.exe just type in the search box on the Start menu to display the About dialog box on Windows
